An archaeomythology of the feminine in Old Europe

In this three-part, in-person series, Sylvia V. Linsteadt will share histories, myths, fairytales and creative practices rooted in the spirit and structure of her beloved online course, When Women Were the Land. Note that all the stories told in these live sessions are not featured in the online course.
During each session at the Artemisia Center for the Mythic Arts, Sylvia’s sunny studio in downtown Point Reyes Station, Sylvia will tell a fairytale or myth, weaving it back into its root systems in matrilineal Old Europe during the Neolithic and earlier. There will be time to creatively respond to the stories through mythic writing exercises, ceramics, and textile work, and to share together in the spiraling sisterhood of the Motherhouse.
