Artemisia Center for the Mythic Arts is Sylvia V. Linsteadt’s workshop space in downtown Point Reyes Station, California, a communal hearth of intimate storytelling events, as well as creative writing and nature-connection classes. Artemisia is devoted particularly to in-person, creative and tactile experiences and offerings, however you will find Sylvia’s online classes under the umbrella of this space as well (see below).

In Person

Sunday Hestia Circles

January 25th, February 8th, February 22nd (winter session)

A space for afternoon tea and creative prompts. In the spirit of the magic that comes from the unexpected, Sylvia will pull poems or folkloric texts from a basket for us to work with. Writing, illustration, watercolor, embroidery, weaving—bring the medium you most like to work in (one that can be explored in a snug studio setting) and come enjoy tea and creative time in a supportive group setting.

10 places available for each date - $60.00 per class

Over these two sessions, we will explore this intricate and beautifully wild Danish fairytale together, both in the field out on the Point Reyes Peninsula, and back in the Artemisia Center.
